La Chacona en re menor es una de las obras cúspide de la historia de la música. Por esta merecida posición ha sido y es frecuentemente interpretada por los más grandes maestros de la cuerda frotada, así como de otros instrumentos. Esto ha hecho que exista una considerable heterogeneidad y cierta discordancia entre las versiones y ediciones de la misma, así como entre las maneras de entender esta obra.
A lo largo de este trabajo se elaborará una edición con su correspondiente propuesta interpretativa mediante un minucioso análisis formal, histórico y estilístico atendiendo también a los mensajes ocultos y referencias que Johann Sebastian Bach introdujo en la misma a modo de panegírico por la muerte de su esposa Maria Barbara Bach, prestando especial atención a los recursos retóricos existentes en esta magnífica obra.
The Chaconne in D minor is one of the most important pieces in the history of music. Considering this admirably status, it is frequently performed by the greatest bowing string masters, as well as the most important musicians of other instruments. This has led to exist a considerable heterogeneity and a certain disagreement in the versions and editions of this piece, as well as the ways to understand it.
Throughout this work, an edition will be elaborated with its corresponding interpretative proposal, doing previously a meticulous formal, historical and stylistic analysis, paying attention to the hidden messages and references that Johann Sebastian Bach introduced in it as a panegyric because of the death of his wife Maria Barbara Bach, and to the rhetorical resources in this magnific work.
