El presente trabajo de investigación realiza un recorrido por la historia de la música culta occidental durante el periodo de romanticismo del siglo XIX, para poder observar las características musicales, los géneros, y los compositores que influyeron en el Teatro Lírico Español del siglo XIX. Establecidos los orígenes y el posterior desarrollo e influencia en la sociedad, que dejó este género musical y teatral español, se realiza un análisis de una selección de los fragmentos más destacados escritos para flauta travesera de unas de las zarzuelas más importantes escritas y que han dejado mayor repercusión en nuestros días. El análisis auditivo de diferentes versiones de las piezas, será de utilidad a la hora de conformar una interpretación más propia e históricamente informada. El recorrido por la historia de la flauta a lo largo del siglo XIX, nos hará comprender más la situación de la misma y el repertorio existente en la época, además de comprender el estilo e influencias de los compositores, que plasman en sus obras de este género lírico español.
The present research work makes a journey through the history of Western classical music during the period of romanticism of the nineteenth century, in order to observe the musical characteristics, genres, and composers who influenced the Spanish Lyric Theatre of the nineteenth century. Having established the origins and the subsequent development and influence on society of this Spanish musical and theatrical genre, an analysis is made of a selection of the most outstanding fragments written for flute from some of the most important zarzuelas written and which have had the greatest repercussion in our times. The hearing analysis of different versions of the pieces will be useful when it comes to shaping a more personal and historically informed interpretation. The journey through the history of the flute throughout the 19th century will give us a better understanding of the situation of the flute and the repertoire existing at the time, as well as an understanding of the style and influences of the composers, which are reflected in their works of this Spanish lyrical genre.
