La Asociación Musical Lira Urgavonense (en adelante, AMLU) es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro cuya actividad se centra en promulgar la cultura y la formación musical en la localidad de Arjona (Jaén). La AMLU desarrolla su labor en un municipio que posee una gran diversidad de opciones culturales que generan una serie de relaciones enriquecedoras y recíprocas en todas las direcciones. La importancia cultural que la AMLU tiene en Arjona reside tanto en su capacidad de creación cultural a nivel individual como en la labor que realiza en colaboración con otras asociaciones y entidades culturales desde los diferentes puntos del ámbito de la gestión. Por estas razones, el presente trabajo pretende arrojar luz sobre el sistema de gestión que posee una asociación de estas características y estudiar cómo dicha gestión repercute a la vez de forma directa e indirecta en la configuración general de la cultura de su ciudad.
The Musical Association “Lira Urgavonense” (henceforth, MALU) is a non-profit association whose activity is focused on proclaiming culture and musical education in the city of Arjona (Jaén). The MALU develops its work in a community that owns a wide range of cultural options which generate a series of rewarding and reciprocal relationships in all directions. The cultural importance that the MALU enjoys in Arjona lies in both its cultural creation ability at an individual level and in the work that this group performs together with other associations and cultural institutions from the different areas of management. For those reasons, this paper attempts to shed some light on the management system that an association of this kind owns and to study how that management affects the general configuration of culture in its town, both directly and indirectly.
