Resumen

El presente trabajo incluye varios ámbitos de estudio referentes al Concurso Internacional de Piano "Premio Jaén". En un principio se ha investigado sobre su origen y evolución, así como sobre la cultura musical que ha generado en la provincia de Jaén a través de las distintas actividades que se han organizado en torno al mismo. Posteriormente se han realizado varios estudios: por un lado, un análisis comparativo del repertorio más interpretado a través de los programas presentados por los concursantes de distintas ediciones que han llegado a la fase final del concurso; por otro lado, se ha llevado a cabo un análisis sobre los tipos y hábitos de prácticas específicas en el estudio del piano a través de entrevistas a concursantes ganadores en diferentes ediciones de este certamen, así como se ha indagado sobre cómo ha sido su trayectoria profesional tras su paso por este concurso internacional de piano.

Por último, también se ha incluido como objeto de investigación en este trabajo un estudio sobre el conocimiento e influencia del Concurso Internacional de Piano "Premio Jaén" y de sus actividades paralelas, aplicado a un sector concreto del ámbito musical de la sociedad jiennense: las familias y el alumnado de nivel de enseñanzas básicas de piano de los centros educativos elementales de música de la provincia de Jaén. 

Abstract

The present work includes several research areas related to the "Jaén Prize" International Piano Competition. Initially, its origin and evolution have been investigated, as well as the musical culture it has generated in the province of Jaén through the different activities that have been organized around it. Subsequently, several studies have been carried out: on the one hand, a comparative analysis of the most performed repertoire has been carried out through the programs presented by the contestants of different editions that have reached the final phase of the competition; on the other hand, an analysis has been carried out on the types and habits of specific practices in the study of the piano through interviews with winning contestants in different editions of this contest, as well as inquired about how their professional career has been after passing through this international piano competition.

Finally, a study on the knowledge and influence of the "Jaén Prize" International Piano Competition and its parallel activities, applied to a specific sector of the musical scope of Jaén society: families and basic-level piano students from primary music schools in the province of Jaén have also been included as a research object in this work.
